After its official launch in April 2021, the Coalition has grown with new members from across Europe and representing a breadth of organisations. The Coalition now also is supported by 9 politicians either active at the European Parliament or in national / regional parliaments.
The meeting was the occasion to review the activities achieved so far and to reaffirm the importance of joining forces to prioritise SHDs in European policies.
Examples of milestones achieved by the SHD Coaliton were the various responses to EU public consultations, speaking opportunities at external events, supporting national events, as well as raising awareness on the opportunity for EU4Health to support a Joint Action.
The meeting was a great occasion for everyone to meet, have an update on the actions, and have a discussion on the next steps that will make the following months very active and enriching for the Coalition and all of its supporters, towards better detection and care for SHD patients across Europe.
