A date for your diary! Join us on 1 March for a virtual event co-hosted by MEPs Brando Benifei and Maria de Graca Carvalho entitled “Towards a more resilient ageing population in Europe: building a coalition on Structural Heart Diseases”.
COVID has had a devastating impact on society, not least on those suffering from life-threatening structural heart diseases for whom access to treatment can be truly lifechanging.
With the pandemic showing no signs of letting up, now is the perfect time for policymakers and healthcare professionals to come together and pledge to work as a coalition to overcome some of the roadblocks which prevent the proper prioritization of structural heart diseases across Europe.
The roundtable will address the potential of cross-border collaboration, the need for an EU cardiovascular plan, as well as what EU countries can do to better detect treatable heart conditions.
The event will take place from 9.30am to 11am CET and will be held in English with simultaneous translation into French, Spanish, German, and Italian.
