The Spanish members of the SHD Coalition have collected and systematised best practices in the management of valvular heart disease in Spain, including key content developed within the framework of ESCAV. The report Best Practices in Structural Heart Disease: Insights from Spain for Europe, authored by the SHD Coalition, presents a curated selection of clinical, organizational, and training initiatives from various Spanish regions that offer valuable lessons for the upcoming EU plan. The document provides practical insights into early detection and coordinated care for structural heart disease, particularly relevant in the context of Europe’s aging population.
